International expedition at BelNPP to measure “zero background”
Successful measurements of the “zero background” in the territory adjacent to the site of the construction of the Belarusian NPP (BelNPP, Ostrovets region, Grodno oblast) were the result of the expedition, which took place from August 15‑20, 2019. Field gamma-ray spectrometric survey at more than 200 points around the BelNPP perimeter and coastline of Polpe and Viliya rivers were carried out using spectrometers AT6101DR, AT6101C and AT6102. The immersible gamma-ray spectrometer AT6104DM was used for the non-sampling survey of bottom sediments at selected areas of monitoring section — mouth of the Polpe river and water intake and discharge points of the Viliya river. Pedestrian and vehicle gamma survey using the AT6101C spectrometric radiation detector significantly expanded the inspection area.
ATOMTEX Scientific and Production Enterprise develops, manufactures and supplies all above mentioned equipment.
